Benchmarks graph

The Benchmarks graph helps you compare your uploaded freight forwarder rates with Xeneta's market rates across different segments on specific trade lanes.

Using this graph, you can see the difference between the movement of the market and your own rates on a selected trade lane within a specific time period.

Adjust data

The Benchmarks graph has several filter options to help you adjust the data you see on the graph.

In addition to a date range and the origin-destination selector, you can also adjust the following metrics:

  • Weight category
  • Service level
  • Contracts

Market postion

The Benchmark graph supports three Market position options, so you can select which specific segments of the market to compare your rates to.

Airline rate index

Using the Airline rate index option, you can add another dimension to the benchmarks graph.

This additional view provides insight into the weekly development of rates between airlines and freight forwarders and allows you to see how they are trending compared to the regular shipper rates.

📘

The index is based on actual airport-to-airport shipment data received directly from airlines and includes all-in costs like freight, security, and fuel surcharges.

Freight forwarders

If you have air freight rates uploaded to your Xeneta account, you will also have the option to plot the rates from your freight forwarder partners on the Benchmarks graph.

📘

Since the purpose of the Benchmarks graph is to compare similar rates, you will only be able to see freight forwarder rates in the same weight range that your weight category filter is set to.
