Session duration and automatic logout

A user session is the amount of time a user can be logged in to their Xeneta account before the session expires.

Once the user session expires, the user will need to log back in using their Xeneta account credentials.

Why we limit user session duration

For security reasons, Xeneta limits the duration of your user session and automatically logs you out after a certain period of inactivity. This way we can prevent unauthorized users from accessing your Xeneta account without your knowledge or stealing your account information.

User session rules

By default, Xeneta has the following user session rules:

  • User is automatically logged out after one hour of inactivity
  • Any action the user performs on the platform (for example, clicking or moving the mouse cursor) will delay the automatic logout by one hour
  • User is automatically logged out after the maximum of eight hours of continuous use
