Estimated rates

The estimated rate data is represented by the estimated_rates_by_day and meta objects returned by calling the /ocean/estimated-rates endpoint:

Only exact ports

Estimated rates can only be requested on the port-to-port level, where either one or both locations are ports with minimal or no direct container traffic — such as Jiaxing (CNJAX) or Kotka (FIKTK).

The estimated_rates_by_day object contains the average estimated rate values for the requested port pair, while the meta object provides additional information on the requested origin and destination and indicates whether any THCs were applied to the returned rates.
