Tender Benchmark (Air)

Tender Benchmark is a tool found under the Tender section in Xeneta for Air Freight that allows you to easily run a Tender Benchmark report.

This report uses Xeneta's vast database of air market rate data to offer you a detailed breakdown of how your supplier rates compare to different market segments across long-term contracts on hundreds or thousands of individual trade lanes.

If you do not wish to provide the bid rates, the report will take into account your freight rates available in the platform to calculate a benchmark. If there are no rates available, the report will simply show you average market rates on the requested trade lanes.

Creating Reports

To start creating a Tender Benchmark report, click the Create report button — a series of helpful prompts will appear on the right side of the page that will guide you through the steps:

• Download and fill out the template with your tender bids using our instructions
• Select a tender group for your new report or create a new one (see a dedicated Report Grouping section below for more information on groups)
• Upload your filled out template and wait for the report to process

Depending on the size of your file, the report may take a few minutes to complete. Feel free to leave the page or close the tab entirely while it's processing — we will send you an email once the report is ready.

Managing Reports

You can always find all of your previously created reports in the All Reports section of the dropdown selector found in the top left corner of the page:

Available reports will be displayed in the Your reports section sorted by creation date and include such information as report name, market rate validity and the group that they belong to:

Clicking on thebutton will bring up a quick menu with options to rename, move, duplicate, download or archive individual reports:

Note that archived reports will no longer show up under Your reports, but you can still find them in the Archived reports section where they can be restored.

The Rerun button allows you to quickly rerun an older report against the latest market data. This will produce a new report with the same input data as the old one, but using the most recent market rates available.

Report Grouping

Xeneta's Tender Benchmark tool allows you to organize your reports into groups to make them easier to manage.

All of your report groups can be found under the dropdown selector in the top left corner of the page. The option to Add a new group is also located under the same selector:

Selecting a specific group will bring up all reports available under that group.

You'll notice that the section with Your reports is slightly different and now also shows the Status of each report:

If you'd like to rename or delete the selected group, click on the options button in the upper right corner:

Deleting a group will automatically archive all reports found in that group.
